Pizza Party Pot-Luck (and Games Night) - October 31![]() Get ready for our annual Pizza Party Potluck!
What is it? It's a big pizza party! Basically you bring some pizza and others bring some pizza and we all share what there is! You can bring any kind of pizza you like (even dessert pizza). Fresh, home made, frozen, Pizza Hut, Dominoes, whatever... you bring it, and together we'll eat it! Why a Pizza Party on October 31? Because many of us don't feel comfortable celebrating Halloween and we don't want our kids focusing on it either. For that reason, we offer a pizza party to the kids instead. Is it a Halloween Party? No. Quite the opposite. It is intended to offer individuals and families a fun alternative to the regular Halloween festivities. As such, we ask that you do NOT come in a costume - just so that we don't get people confused. Who is it for? It is for anyone who wants to do something different on Halloween. You don't have to bring children to enjoy this event. This is for EVERYONE.... single, married, with children, without children, young or old. You are also encouraged to invite others as well. What do I bring? Bring any kind of pizza (home made, frozen, Dominos, Pizza Hut... whatever) and bring some treats for the kids to take home. You can also bring a favorite board game. We'll also put on a couple episodes of a kids show after the pizza for the children for those who linger longer. When does it start? The doors open at 5:30 on October 31st, however we don't be starting to eat until 6:00. If you need to cook your pizza here (or warm it up), you can come any time at or after 5:30 pm to use our oven. What else is going on? After pizza, around 6:30 pm we will bring out board games. You can bring a suitable board game and enjoy that with others who might also like to do that. What's wrong with Halloween? Many articles have been written about Halloween. This article is probably a well balanced article. Where did Halloween come from and can Christians Celebrate It? |
