Daycare Committee
The Church of the Nazarene Daycare, a ministry of the Whitehorse Church of the Nazarene, is run by the Daycare Committee.
Qualifications
Members of the Daycare Committee do not need to be formal members of this church but need to be persons who are part of the community of faith in our local church. However, as we would like to include parental involvement in the daycare committee, someone from another church who has children in our daycare may be approved on the daycare committee upon recommendation from their pastor and approval from our church board.

The following are the responsibilities of the Daycare Committee
- Receive regular monthly or bi-monthly reports from the Director.
- Offer support and guidance to the Director.
- Oversee the financial management and operation of the Daycare.
- Look for solutions to any issues that are brought to the Committee’s attention by the Director.
- Address any concerns that parents or staff feel have been unresolved by the Director.
- Review government inspection reports and assist the Director in resolving outstanding issues.
- Review and update Daycare Staff Operating Handbook as necessary.
- Ensure that the Daycare reflects a positive image in the community.
- Report to the Church Board and is subject to the Church Board.
