Arman Formaran
Arman Formaran was born in the Philippines and came to know Christ as a young child. As a teenager, he became involved in various church ministries, including the music ministry playing guitar and writing and singing songs for God.
In university Arman pursued a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree while being involved in Campus Ministry.
With a heart to serve God through evangelism, in 2008 Arman went to Thailand to serve as a missionary. He returned to Philippines in 2011 where he continued to teach.
In 2014 Arman came to Canada. It was here that he met Diana. They were eventually married (in the Nazarene Church) and have been involved, together, in various ministries; music leader, leader of Home Bible Studies, and occasionally preaching. In recognition of God's call in Arman's life, in March 2019 Arman received a local minister’s license from the Whitehorse Church of the Nazarene. When his spiritual mentor, Pastor Merlyn, announced that he would be moving away, Arman was willing to step in and be used in whatever ways the church would call him. Starting in October 2019 Arman has accepted responsibility for the leadership of the Filipino Ministry in Whitehorse.
In June 2020, Arman became a licensed minister of the Gospel in the Church of the Nazarene, Canada Pacific District and was appointed by the District Superintendent as Pastor of the newly established "Whitehorse Filipino Church of the Nazarene" (a Parent Affiliated Congregation of the Whitehorse church). We are grateful to include Arman in our ministry team.
He continues to work towards his ordnation. He and his wife, Daina, have three children.
