We are NOT currently offering the Alpha Course.  The information below is from the course we ran in Spring 2019.

The Alpha Course:
Information Night on Wednesday April 3, 2019

The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the meaning of life and an understanding of the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening, low key, friendly and fun setting.

Each evening begins with a delicious meal.  This is followed by a video talk and then a small group discussion; giving opportunity for you to ask your questions, express your thoughts, and to discuss the topic of the evening.

Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile. And it’s supported by all the main Christian denominations.

The entire course will be held over ten weeks, on Wednesday nights, at the Church of the Nazarene (2111 Centennial Street).  The first evening (the Introduction Night) is when you can find out more about Alpha and decide if you want to continue with the course.

There is NO CHARGE for any of the program, materials, or meals.

We offer a NO obligation information night to give you a glimpse of the series.  Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm on April 3rd.

What is it?
The Alpha course is an opportunity to explore and discuss the big questions about life and faith.  Questions such as:
  • Who really is Jesus?
  • What is the meaning of life?
  • What relevance does Jesus have for our lives today?
  • What happens when we die?
  • How do we deal with guilt?
If you would like to explore those, and other questions, Alpha is for you.

What is the format?
Each week we will gather and enjoy:
  1. Sharing food together - having fun, getting to know new people, and developing a circle of caring relationships happens while we enjoy some refreshments together.
  2. Watching an Alpha video together - learning through a 45 minute video about who Jesus is and what it means to be a Christian.
  3. Discussion Group - is the 'center piece' to Alpha. Here is your chance to ask questions, discuss the video content, in a comfortable, non-judgmental environment.
Sunday Services: Tagalog (9:00), English (10:45 am)
