How to Get the Most out of Study
Look for ways to be open to God's presence and direction in your life by being open!
1. Open your eyes to the truth of God's Word. God has given us His Word in written form. By reading and studying God's Word, we stay in touch with what it means to be in right relationship with God. Hiding God's Word in our hearts helps us stay on the godly path (Psalm 119:11). 2. Open your ears to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Each day we should be sensitive to the leading of God's Spirit in our lives. If we are listening to God's voice first and foremost, we will be able to turn a deaf ear to the voices that try to lead us astray. 3. Open your heart and life so you can be the hands and feet of Christ in the world. This means living daily in obedience to God and reflecting His image in the things we say and do. Serving God by serving others will help keep us focused on God's call on our lives.
