Regular Adult Bible Study (Sunday mornings)

The regular Adult Bible Study (Sunday mornings at 9:45 am) follows the curriculum from WordAction Publishers, providing a comprehensive study of themes and books of the Bible.

March - May 2013
Unit 1: I Am
The religious leaders challenged Christ's authority saying, "Are you greater than our father Abraham?" Jesus responded by saying, "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was born, I am!" (John 8:58). All that God promised to be to his people finds full realization in Jesus.  Join us as we study Jesus' surprising "I AM" statements in the gospel of John.

Unit 2: Theology 101
A basic understanding of the key theological concepts is essential to a well-grounded faith. Join us for these foundational studies on sin, grace, repentance, forgiveness, holiness, and love.

June - August 2013
Unit 1: The Supremacy of God: Colossians
Colossians is an uplifting reminder of the hope of the gospel. This study of Colossians will focus on the power of the gospel, the certainty of salvation, and the adequacy of Christ.

Unit 2: Amos: Let Justice Roll!
Social justice and covenant living go hand in hand. When the Israelites took their relationship with him for granted, God called them to repentance and a return to covenant grace.

Unit 3: A Cedar of Lebanon: Hosea
The prophet Hosea finds God to be a God of both judgment and compassion. God's great love for the people of Israel is revealed both by his indictment of their evil ways and his desire to show them compassion, love, and forgiveness

Ladies' Bible Study

There is a monthly women's bible study group being held in various homes throughout Whitehorse.  It is not on a precise (regular) schedule, but varies month by month.  Please check the main page of this web site (under "Coming Up...") for the next date and location of the women's bible study group.
