Jan Eckstein

Jan Eckstein passed away early Sunday morning, July 21, 2024, shortly after returning to Whitehorse with her husband Dan.  Jan had been in Vancouver for surgery, which was successful, but she soon developed some complications.  It seemed she was well enough to return to Whitehorse, but unfortunately, a few hour after settling in to the local hospital, she passed away in her sleep.  Dan was with her.

I believe Jan's first introduction to our church was when she brought her boys to our daycare in the late 80's.  She started attending the church when her first husband (Michael) was ill.  Jan became a formal member in December 1990, shortly after Micheal had passed away.

In 1993 she married Dan Eckstein and together they became very involved in the life and ministries of the church.

Jan was steadfast in her commitment to the Lord, always warm hearted, kind, and a blessing to many.  As a woman of faith and prayer, she was a great person to talk to for counsel and for encouragement.  She will surely be missed.
