Night 84 - September 7
Move with Munchies: Facing the Giants has got to be one of the best movies we've seen at youth group. It's about a man who's just trying to make a living as a football coach, but is not doing a very good job at it. His whole life begins to crumble as he tries to figure out why God would let these things happen to him. In the face of all his troubles, the coach decides to make a commitment to follow God and keep loving Him no matter what the cost. Once he puts his trust in God fully, God begins to do some miracles not only in the his life, but in the lives of the football players he coaches. This is a very good movie, full of action and humour, sadness and joy...

Night 85 - September 14
Bowling: 3 lanes + 16 youth = lots of strikes! There were many who got strikes, and many who put in a good effort all the same. The high score went to Mallory who got over 140 points, and the next high score went to Katie who also got well over 100 - Way to go Mallory and Katie! These two girls each got three strikes in a row... Now that's skill! After we played our first round of bowling, we took a break, had some munchies (always the best part) and listened to devotional on how Jesus' death was all part of God's plan! Later on we played another game of bowling and knocked over some more pins.

Night 86 - September 21
Indoor Games: Our hiking plan got cancelled due to weather, but that didn't stop us from having an enjoyable night! We started the night off with a few games, such as "M-Madness", and "Squeeze the Hand." After that we had some munchies and played a few games: Pool and Mad Gab. When it was nice and dark outside we played Hide and Seek in the dark around the church! Congrats to Elizabeth who was the last person to be found during the first round, and the many people who were not found during the second. After all of that fun stuff we had a devotional and talked about how beautiful we are in God's eyes... He made us afterall! The devotionals really are the treasures of the nights...

Night 87 - September 28
Indoor Games: For the first time in the history of our youth group we played "Honey if you love me." It's a classic youth group game! One person is selected to be it and go up to any random person and say "Honey, if you love me, will you pease, please smile?" That person in return is supposed to - without smiling or laughing - say "Honey, you know I love you, but I just can't smile." Now, If that person can not keep a straight face at any time during the encounter than he/she is it. If not, than the person who was originally it gets to try again with someone else. There was a LOT of smiling during that game, but even more laughing! We took lots of pictures and video, so it'll get posted up soon. After that game we had a relay race in the basement that involved acting, molding, and drawing things blindfolded... it was a real challenge. We had a devotional about being able to thank God in hard times, and then had strawberry shortcake - yum!
