Night 83 - August 3
Hike to Long Lake: The wether couldn't have been better. Of course, there were some nasty bugs at some points, but overall they weren't to bad.
They especially weren't too bad because Gabriel brought the bug spray, which he gave Megan a taste of when she walked by him.
We had absolutely no fear of bears during the hike, because it became quite clear that our good freind Joel had a "gun" and knew how to use it.
When we got to our destination - Long Lake - after hiking for about an hour, we all relaxed by the water and enjoyed the weather.
It was so nice that Donny came up with the great idea of camping there sometime. That would be a fun thing to do... we could bring canoes!
Now if anything did happen to Joel, we still wouldn't have to be afraid of the bears because he gave us a firearm safety course while we were on the beach... now the youth group can go caribou hunting!
Anyhow, before our devotional Elizabeth and Pauline decided to go up to their knees in the lake, because Megan says you simply can't go to Long Lake without getting wet.
Now if it weren't for Sarkis stopping them from falling in the lake after he gave pushed them a little, they would have been over their heads in the lake!
The devotional was so nice to have out by the lake and in the scenary. God made it just for us to enjoy, so why not enjoy it?
When it was time for the group photo, someone put the camera on video instead of timer.
While we were all waiting for the timer to go off, a video was taken! We must have sat there for over a minute waiting.
The funny part is we got Megan spitting out a mountful of sunflower seeds on video!
Who can guess what video is going up for announcements this Sunday morning?
