Night 73 - May 4
Field Sports: For the first time in ages we played some sports - we had a good time and look forward to next time!
Night 74 - May 11
Swimming/Dodgeball: We met at the church at about 6:45 to drive up to the CGC. On the way there, we picked up Jessie and Liz. A bunch of us went swimming, while Megan ran laps upstairs with her "personal trainer". After swimming, we played some dodgeball, with the boys against the girls. Heather Keats and Alison joined us about when we started dodgeball. We ended with our devotional and an invitation to come back next week.
Night 75 - May 18
Field Sports: We had a lot of fun at Rotary Park. Last time we went to Rotary Park the main sport was football.
This time we played soccer, and used jackets and shoes as goal posts. Everyone did a great job and seemed to be having fun.
Like we have done in the past, we played a few games of Hide and Seek around Rotary Park. That was a huge hit, as usual!
The best thing about the night was that there were kids from many different age groups, and everyone got along just fine!
After everyone got some prizes (candy), we sat in a circle and did our devotional.
It was so beautiful out, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky! That's a blessing in itself.
Night 76 - May 31
Garbage Pickup Fundraise:
Last time we did a garbage clean up was about one year ago. It's about time we did it again! It went well as we cleaned up the road going by Wal-Mart.
There were a lot of bushes that we had to pull trash out of - and there was a lot of it - but it was still fun because we were able to hang out and get to know each other better.
One person found a five dollar bill while we were cleaning up!
Another person found a partly buried shopping cart and worked hard to pull it out of the ditch. Good workout!
After a while we got it all cleaned up, and now that road looks 100 times better!
