Night 70 - Arpil 13
Bowling and Birthday Party: For the first time since September, 2006, we went bowling. It wasn't glow bowling, but we still had a blast!
This time there was a little catch - we had to bowl differently than one would normally bowl normal.
For example, once we had to spin three times before rolling the ball,
another time we had to lay on our stomach and roll the ball,
another time we had to make the silliest face ever and roll the ball (while getting your picture taken),
another time we had to get somebody to roll the ball with you (that was hard),
and another time we had to do some type of over-under relay with the whole team before rolling the ball.
Fortunatly, we were able to roll the ball normally between each new "unique" style of rolling.
Clayton got first prize, perhaps because he and his wife got a strick when they rolled the ball together.
After the awesome game of bowling we went into the party room and had a devotional,
which was followed by some chips and pop.
Night 71 - Arpil 20
Hiking: This was our first hike this year! It was a bit early, so there was quite a bit of mud at the bottom, and as we climbed we got into snow - some of which was very deep!
It was quite the experience, following each others tracks up to the spot where we went last year. A few people slipped, but there were no serious injuries at all. That's a blessing!
There wasn't really much snow where we stopped and had our devotional. In fact, there was a bench, and the view was wonderful!
No Joel, the pretty pink in the sky was NOT caused by polution!! It wasn't that cold up there or even windy.
In fact, we kind up stayed at the top for a few minutes after the devotional and chilled, quite literally.
Before we went down, Megan came up with a "brilliant" idea!
The idea was that everyone could all stand together in knee deep snow get a group photo!
It started off okay, but by the time we had taken a couple photos some of us had frozen knees!
We didn't go down the way we came up. Instead we took a less snowy route.
We got to the bottom just in time, just as the church van was driving up the road.
Night 72 - Arpil 27
Special Games Night: Seriously, the games that we played were so cool! The first game we played was a jeopardy like game. It was called... I forget what it was called, ask Megan (334-6883).
All I know is that it was really fun. The second game we played was Pictionary, except with play-doe!
Itstead of drawing an object, we used our sculptureistic abilities to form the object out of play doe.
The hardest one was probably the saxaphone. You know what was really fun?
We went outside and played a dodge ball like game, but with a twist.
There was one person from each team in the middle.
These people would dodge the balls thrown at them from members of the opposing teams who surrounded them.
The fourth and last game we called was a bible memory game.
We had to pop a bunch of balloons, take the paper inside, and put together a bible verse that the paper formed.
Each team got a different verse.
After assembling the verse, the whole team would have to memorize it.
After memorizing, the teams would get together and share what they memorized.
After sharing, they would teach each other their verses.
The verses were Job 5:17, and Matthew 25:34
It was great, I had a blast. Praise the Lord for an awesomely fun time.
