Night 55- December 1
Even though it was cold, everything turned out all right.
We opened the night by singing to a crowd of people, and then travelled around downtown singing carols
and visiting various shops along the way. The shop owners were very friendly, and treated us to some
sweets. Even Zola's gave us some free hot beverages. It was cold, but well worth it. And it was an awesome
outreach opportunity as well, because we were able to sing about Jesus' birth.
Night 56- December 8
We were going to go out to the Ranch like we did a year ago, but it didn't work out, so we held our "Survival Night" at the church.
One event we did, was boiling hot chocolate. This sounds easy, but it was not!
We had to get wood and matches, and snow to put in a pot.
We started a fire (each time we got a new match we had to answer a skill testing question), and once it was big enough
we put the pot on the fire, and watched it until the snow melterd and boiled. We put the hot chocolate powder in the
pots once the water was boiling, and drank it Yukon style. It was a blast! We also played "Follow the markers, and
rescue Clayton."
Night 57- December 15
We all went to the Hajian's house and had an awesome Christmas Party!
