Night 51- November 3
For the first time, youth groups from all around the Yukon got together for one major event!
There were groups from many churches, and many of them took a role in the event.
Our youth group prepared two great skitts and performed them, Yukon Bible Fellowship led us in games,
Riverdale Baptist church's youth band - Overflow - led us in some great worship, and Bethany Tabernacle hosted
the event which was sponsered their Christian radio station - New Life FM. There were many youth there, it was
a blessing to see so many youth from across the Yukon come together as one group.
Night 52- November 10
Game nights are always great! We played many games, and those games that were played were played by those who played the games that were played!
Night 53- November 17
For the first time ever, in the history of our youth group, we held a fantastic film rally!
The first film was about a chase, a group pyramid, and a Nazarene Idol. The second film was about Egypt,
and how the pyramids were built, while the second part of the film was about the Prodical son (even though
it was a girl who acted out that part). Keep watching for a few video clips!
Night 54- November 24
The last time we played Capture the Flag was October 25, 2005. Finally, we played it again, but of
course it wouldn't be the same without that freezing weather! Unlike last year, we played the game
indoors, as well as outdoors. Strangely enough, nobody hid the "flags" outside! After about 45 minutes
of adventure and stuggle, one team obtained a flag and won the game. After that we played Hide and Seek in
the dark. Usually we allow flashlights, but this time there were NO flashlights allowed! That made the game
quite a bit longer than usuall. Once the game was over, we played wink, which we haven't played since the second
ever youth group, and drank hot chocolate. The devotional was very good. We read in Psalms about how when
David had struggles, he knew that God would get him through them, day by day. We need to
remember that even when we have hard days, which King David had a lot of, God is there and
gives you strength to get through it.
