Night 43 -September 8
Last time we hiked we did Grey Mountain, but not this time! The hike we did was very nice,
especially when we got above the treeline.
The whole mountain top was covered it color: red, orange, and yellow. If we had gone before fall started,
we probably wouldn't have been able to see those colors.
Once we got to the first ridge, we were given the option to continue. Most of us did, and nearly made it to the top!
We didn't go the whole way because it was getting late. It was so windy up there,
so windy that one of us nearly got swept off there feet! To celebrate, we all sang "higher ground" and cheered.
The air up there was fresh, very fresh.
We were a little bit late getting down, and it was dark buy the time some of us got back.
That's okay though, because everyone got back safely - Praise the Lord!
Night 44 -September 15
We had never done a marshmellow roast at a campground before, but that changed!
The first thing we did when we got to the campground was toss around the football.
We actually had a four person game of football, that was very fun. Eventually more people joined in on the fun.
When we all needed a break from football, we went and got some wood. None of it was cut up, so we had to use the
scrap bark, but even that worked just fine.
After we got back from our walks around the campground we had marshmellows and hotdogs, even though someone forgot the buns;
they were delicious. It was dark by the time we started devotions, and all we had was a fire to keep us warm.
It was a beautiful evening. (Check back later for more info... if you would like photos, please email the webmaster
Night 45 -September 22
For the first time in quite a while, we went bowling.
Not only was the Nazarene Youth Group there, but also the Whitehorse Baptist Youth Group!
After doing two games of bowling, we had a devotional, and celebrated the birthdays of four
youth who were born in September. We had Doughnuts, and even put a candle on one of them.
Night 46 -September 29
Wow! That was the most amazing game ever! We played a game called Enigma - created by Nora - and played it all night.
We started the night off by playing an ice-breaker, and then went on and started Enigma.
Enigma is a detective-style game. There are police, agents, smugglers, secret police, and more!
