Night 26- April 7
While eating chips, drinking drinks, and getting cozy on the cushions, we enjoyed the "magical" movie Narnia! There were many cool points in this story that relate to our Lord Jesus Christ. Just like how Aslan the Lion died to save Edmond from the White Witch, Jesus died for us to set us free from the power of sin. Aslan knew he would rise from the dead, so did Jesus, and he did!
Night 27- April 21
We didn't just have a photo rally, we had a Crazy Monkey Photo Rally! We broke up into about 5 or 6 teams, and were each given a camera. We went around Whitehorse taking creative pictures. The photos included group pyramids, people in trees, long-horned sheep, and even a crazy monkey!
After the rally we met at the church and played games, which included bannana eating! We sang a few songs together, and afterwards had some ice-cream.
To conclude We watched a slideshow of all the photo rally pictures taken, and the girls won! The girls stopped someone on a street and told them about our youth group, and who we are. What a fun night it was, and a special thanks to the new youth pastor at Whitehorse Baptist Church!
Night 28- April 28
It's fun finding treasure, but this treasure was different, this treasure was made out of chocholate! This was a pirate ship themed treasure hunt! Rooms in the church were turned into rooms on a pirate ship. These rooms included the bridge, cargo hold, armory, upper deck, lower deck, crows nest, and many other rooms!
During the hunt the youth were given a short break to do a water balloon toss! Many balloons popped and many youth continued their search wet! It's a pirate ship after all, people are bound to get wet!
After all the clues were found each team had to find a stoway. After the teams found their stoways (which took a LONG time) they were given the final clue that lead to the room in which the treasure was hid - the kitchen!
Later on we celebrated the birthday of one of the youth and had cupcakes! They were so good, can't wait until next week!
