Night 21- March 3
Our fearless youth leader set up a few improv. games for us. Such as a A-Z game, where you had to make a story with each sentence starting with a letter in the alphabet that came after the first letter of the last sentence. After a few more complicated games like that, we had ice-cream cake and celebrated the birthdays of the the youth whose birthdays were in February and March.
Night 22- March 10
Playing Where's Waldo was quite a challenge. Our youth leader got about 7 adults from our church and told them to hide anywhere in the Canada Games Center. Our challenge was to find each adult, with only a picture of something each of them were wearing. After about an hour and fifteen minutes the adults were found and everyone got prizes! We sat down for a quick devotional afterwards, it was about Jesus washing his followers feet.
He was setting an example for us, we need to have that same servant-like attitude towards one another.
Night 23- March 17
This was our second week in a row at the Canada Games Center! We met in the front lobby and shortly after went into the pool for a swim. After sliding down the water slide, diving off the diving board, hottubbing in the hot tub, getting steamed in the steam room, and lazing down the Lazy River, we played dodge ball with little kids in the gym. It was fun, but a few times the little kids creamed us, but we were outnumbered 3 to 1.
Night 24- March 24
Just another games night, but we had two new people come, and five more missing! After deciding that not everybody liked sardines, we had a devotion in which our fearless youth leader told us something, but nobody remembers what that was. We do remember, however, that it was most important, and that everything she said will stay in the backs of our minds forever, but rarely come into the front of them. Night 25- March 31
A worker from Jews for Jesus came and did a presentation on Christian Jews, and the passover. She taught us about rituals performed during the passover and what they meant, for more information on the Jews for Jesus ministry check out their website at www.jewsforjesus.com
