Night 17- February 3
Bottle drives are a lot of work, but they can be real fun! We all met at the church, and broke up into 4 groups. After each group went on their routes in Crestview, we realized we had no bags! But someone did run back to the church to get some for us. While bottle driving the youth leaders drove around Crestview, collecting our bags. At times we were carrying 4 large bags!
After the long 1.5 hours we went back to the church and sorted all the cans and bottles. It was fun jumping on the cans, it was very loud! We did good on the bottle drive, even though it was cold!
Night 18- February 10
A speaker from answers in Genesis came to speak to us at Bethany Tabernacle. There were 3 different youth groups there, including a kids group. The speaker talked about the flood, the ice age, creation, animals, and how science does fit in with the bible! Night 19- February 17
Our youth group went to 3 different houses and had a progressove dinner. There were eleven teens in all. Sarkis and Joel made sure there were no leftovers. We had some appealing appetizers, a marvelous main course, and some delicious desserts. Each of the hosts were presented with a gift. One thing is for sure... whenever you invite eleven teens to your house, YOU HAVE TO MAKE LOTS OF FOOD :) !
Night 20- February 24
We rented the Beringia center with the Whitehorse Baptist Youth Group. We had the whole place to ourselves, even the theater. We watched a movie while munching on chips and drinking pop. After we finished the movie we had a time of worship and sang a few songs. After our worship time we watched Veggie Tales!! By the time we finished looking around the center and got our group photos taken, it was well past 10:00pm!
