Today there are 724 missionaries and volunteers serving in 156 world areas.  What's even more interesting is that these missionaries themselves come from 36 different countries. Together, Nazarenes worship in more than 212 languages or tribal languages, with literature produced in 90 of these. The church operates 60 medical clinics and hospitals worldwide and thousands of compassionate ministry centres. This missionary enterprise is made possible by the contributions of the global Nazarene family. Nazarenes also engage in starting new churches and congregations by praying, giving, and supporting worldwide volunteers and contracted missionaries.

Dr. Clair MacMillan, National Director, Church of the Nazarene Canada wrote to the Director of the CRW:

Dear Dell, It has come to my attention that you and your staff of wonderful people are currently loading your 300th Compassionate Warehouse container. According to my calculations that represents more than 6,500,000 pounds of goods, packed into 900,000 cubic feet of space and worth untold millions of dollars. Only Heaven will see the eternal impact your work has had on the lives of the countless lives that have been changed by your efforts. On behalf of the Church of the Nazarene Canada and all Nazarenes worldwide I congratulate you and all your people: those who have loaded the containers, those who have provided funds for the shipping and the people and organizations that provided the goods. Thank you for a job well done that is continuing even as I write!

Here are excerpts from Dell Marie’s response:
I will pass along your message to all our volunteers. We are excited but a little surprised at how quickly this is occurring. Never in my wildest dreams, did I ever conceive of this milestone. We only started out to send one, then two, then a few more…..and now 300 have been sent! We are so grateful to the Lord for providing supplies, space, finances and many willing hands and committed hearts. Without these amazing volunteers, we would not be celebrating this milestone this week. Thank you to the Church of the Nazarene Canada and to NCM Canada for their continued support and prayers. Together we will look forward to hearing stories in heaven on how the Lord used “the simple and the common” to spread His love and grace around the world.

The 300th container was sent to Guatemala and contains: supplies and equipment for a clinic and a daycare, educational supplies, tools for a carpentry training workshop, bikes, furnishing and supplies for a Work & Witness home (including electrical and plumbing supplies) and a rural church, sewing machines and supplies to set up a training centre, computers for a training centre, playground equipment, household linens, clothing, shoes and toys.

To read more about the exciting things happening at CRW or for information about upcoming shipments, projects, needs, or to make a financial contribution, click here.

On May 2nd 2010 the Whitehorse Church of the Nazarene began a ministry outreach in the community of Tagish.

Currently we are meeting in the home of Myron & Shelley Penner on the first Sunday night of every month, beginning at 7:00 pm.

Services are filled with singing followed by a message.  One of the interesting characteristics of these services is the unusually high percentage of youth and young adults attending.

More information, as well as a map can be found on our Tagish Community Church webpage.

                                                                          Picture
The Dawson Creek Project was a District Work and Witness opportunity organized by members of the Guildford Church of the Nazarene, taken place August 1 to 13, 2011.

There were three major parts to the project:
                                                                          1. Re-building/construction of the Church, including a new roof over the entrance and back exit of the church, new windows along the basement, and all new siding all around the church.
                                                                          2. Youth ministry: holding some sports activities for the youth in the church and community.
                                                                          3. Children's ministry: a Vacation Bible School including a lesson, crafts, activity, discussion and snack time.
