Night 110 - April 4
Treasure Hunt: It may have been real slushy at Rotary Park, but it was well worth it after finding the treasure we were seeking! We were given clues leading us all around Rotary Park, from the SS Klondike to the Trolly Station. Soon everybody found treasure... a.k.a. discount Easter chocolate!! We were outside during the hunt, so afterwards we went to Tim Hortons for our devotional, and enjoyed some sweet beverages. We learned about how seeking for treasure is just like seeking for the gifts that God offers us. Just like how on a treasure hunt we run to many different places trying to figure out clues, we go through many different experiences in our lives that are often confusing. So why do we spend time trying to figure out all these riddles and clues? What keeps us going? It's the prize that we see at the end of the road, the prize that we know we'll earn if we persevere to the end! For generations people have searched for gold and jewels, but so many haven't tried searching for the true riches that God offers, riches that will not wear out and collect dust. When we do a treasure hunt we find clues that guide us, and in the same way God offers us clues that guide us closer to Him, clues that can be found in the bible. It may be hard at times to follow God as a Christian, but He promises that He is with us every step of the way. So why not try searching for true riches? It is completely worth it!

Night 111 - April 11
Progressive Dinner: Thank you to those that participated in our progressive dinner by providing us with food filled houses to go to! At the first house we enjoyed a delicious appetizer made up of tacos, with some fried zucchinis on the side. I had never tasted fried zucchini before, but they were absolutely amazing! After the appetizer we went to another house for the main course which included salad, a peanut butter pasta dish, boiled veggies, lasagna, and more! I’m sure it must have taken hours to make. After our main course we went to the next house for dessert. One of our youth had a birthday this month, so we had a nice birthday cake decorated with many candles! Don’t worry - we did remove the candles before eating the cake. Finally, we went to the pastor’s house for the devotional and talked about the showdown that Elijah had on Mount Carmel with the prophets of Baal to see which God was the true God! It is a very interesting story. Check out 1 Kings 18!

Night 112 - April 18
Food Drive Bag Drop Off: Thank you to those that helped drop off bags for the food drive! It went by very quickly because we had enough youth that were happy to serve! When we finished dropping off the bags we drove back to the church where we watched and judged the previous film rally videos. They were quite good!
